March has roared into Florida like a lion with gorgeous warm weather punctuated by cold and blustery days. As the glorious days get more numerous, you may find yourself drawn to the beaches. Azurea has plenty of specials and events coming up for spring and a great location right where water and sand meet sky.

For example, this week is “Wine Appreciation Week” – March 8th until March 19th from 6-9 p.m. Azurea has invited several top wineries and experts from around the world to pour their wines. There will be tastings of multiple varietals and wineries with a special wine flight each evening for $25.

 ”Fashion First Thursdays” have also resumed and will continue on the first Thursday of each month through August 5 from 7-10 p.m. One Ocean Resort’s Azurea Lounge (seen above – chi-chi – no?) and Northeast Florida’s fashion retailer, Rosie True, are offering you and your friends the chance to be the first to witness 2010’s spring and summer trends. Fashion and cocktails with free admission open to the public. Just pull up to the resort’s valet at One Ocean Boulevard in Atlantic Beach and let them know you are there for the “Fashion First Thursday.” It doesn’t get much more Sex in the City than that! While mingling with the models, try out the exclusive signature “True Love” martini and you’ll have the chance to win a prize!

“O-Live It Up” will also kick off May 7th – 9th followed by every Thursday May through August from 11 a.m. to midnight. It’s a martini-centric month featuring flavorful garnishes and accompaniments to complement the lounge’s high-end spirits. Cocktail lovers seeking something new can make their own creations at the over-the-top garnish station. While guests who prefer to leave the mixology to the experts can select a treat from the lounge’s martini list featuring locally-inspired originals ranging from The Ocean and First CoastTini to Southern Hospitality and The Blue Wave. 

Finally, be sure to check out the special Easter menu that will be offered on April 4th from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
